Tree Risk Assessments (Levels 1–3)
ISA-qualified tree risk evaluations and structural safety reporting for property owners, HOAs, insurance providers, and municipalities across Metro Atlanta.
At Xylo Logics, we conduct detailed tree inventories using advanced GIS mapping and GPS tracking. We transform chaotic tree populations into structured, manageable assets—helping property managers, board members, and developers maintain canopy health, ensure safety, and build realistic long-term maintenance budgets.

The 3 Levels of Tree Risk Assessment
We offer three standardized levels of hazard and structural diagnostic evaluation:
-
Level 1: Limited Visual Risk Assessment
A rapid ground-based visual evaluation focused on identifying obvious structural defects, dangerous lean, or major target hazards.
-
Best for: Managing large properties, HOAs, or municipal street tree corridors.
-
Includes: High-level hazard identification, target risk flagging, and preliminary mitigation recommendations.
-
-
Level 2: Basic 360° Risk Assessment
A complete ground-based visual inspection of the root crown, trunk, and canopy to assess structural defects and target exposure.
-
Best for: Individual trees near homes, driveways, outdoor living spaces, or property lines.
-
Includes: Root collar inspection, trunk decay assessment, target rating, and an official ISA risk evaluation report.
-
-
Level 3: Advanced Diagnostic & Climbing Risk Assessment
An intensive evaluation using physical canopy climbing and specialized diagnostic gear to assess hidden internal decay.
-
Best for: High-value mature trees, suspected hollows, heavy canopy unions, or severe storm damage.
-
Includes: Ground penetrating Radar (GPR), aerial photography, canopy climbing, and precise decay mapping.
-
Risk Assessment vs. Arborist Inspection: What’s the Difference?
-
Tree Risk Assessments (This Page): Strictly evaluates structural stability, probability of failure, and safety hazards to nearby targets using standardized ISA protocols.
-
Arborist Health Inspections: Focuses on general tree vitality, growth rates, pest/disease diagnosis, and overall plant health management.
What You Receive
-
Every assessment provides an official report detailing:
-
ISA-standardized risk rating (Low, Moderate, High, Extreme).
-
Identification of structural defects and potential targets.
-
Prioritized risk mitigation strategies (retain & reassess, pruning, cabling, brace rods, or removal).
